7 Easy and Quick Homemade Remedies for Constipation

Constipation is a very common issues now a days. Most of people use laxatives but laxatives are not good for health. Excessive usage of laxatives creates more health issues like piles and others. Natural way is the best way to deal with constipation, so here are some Homemade remedies to relieve constipation.

Ispaghol Husk

Add 1-2 table spoons of ispaghol husk in a warm milk and drink it before you go to sleep. It will help you in digestion, makes your digestive system better and soften the walls of your intestines and rectum which will help you pass the stool easily. Ispaghol is known to be the natural remedy for digestion and making your digestive system even better. People who tends to consume ispaghol daily have no digestive issues. Try to make the consumption of ispaghol a routine.

Castor Oil

Castor oil act as a laxative and soften your small and large intestine. It is known as to be a very good remedy to relieve constipation for generations. Take 1-2 teaspoons with an empty stomach and wait until it works. If you don’t like the taste and can’t swallow it add 1-2 tablespoons of castor oil in warm milk and drink it.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is a very good remedy for constipation as it relaxes down your stomach muscles and make them soft which helps you pass your stool easily. Take one tablespoon of olive oil on an empty stomach in the morning it will remove the dryness and make your stomach walls soft. If you don’t like the taste you can add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil in a glass of warm milk and consume it. You can also mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil with one table spoon of lemon juice it will lighten the taste.

Liquid Consumption

Water is a natural hydrating agent. It removes the dryness internally and makes your system work in a proper, best and efficient manner. A person should take 12 to 15 glasses of water daily to make his/her system work in a proper manner. Consumption of water not only helps relieves constipation but it also makes your body works perfect.

Coming towards other liquids and fluids, make sure you take enough fluids and liquids in a day. It easily stimulates and helps relieve constipation. Try to consume the fresh juice of fibrous fruits like

Fresh Orange juice with pulp

Fresh Peach juice

Fresh Guava juice

Fresh Grapes juice

Lemon juice (Add a juice of one fresh lemon in a cup of warm water and drink it)

Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are known to be the natural remedy for constipation. As they help in digestion and improves the digestive system. Eat fibrous fruits on daily basis like Orange, Peach, Guava, Melon, Watermelon, Papaya, Grapes, try to eat fruit chat more and more, mix pieces of apple, banana, peach, and guava in a bowl add some orange juice with its pulp and consume it. It will helps relieve constipation and helps in digestion and passing stool. Make it a routine for better results. Fig is a very good remedy for constipation, you can eat 4-5 pieces of it daily or you can add 4-5 pieces of Fig in a glass of water and leave it for overnight and in the morning drink the water and eat the figs on an empty stomach. It will softens your system internally and helps relieve the constipation.

Coming towards Vegetables, fresh vegetables are proven to be very good remedy for constipation problem. Eat a bowl of fresh mix vegetables daily. Try to consume cucumber, salad leaves and green vegetables more and more. You can also cook spinach and radish together and eat it with a chapatti it will also help relieve constipation.

Molasses or Honey

Take one teaspoon of blackstrap molasses mix it in a glass of warm water and drink it two times a day. One glass in the morning and one at night.

Add one tablespoon of honey in a glass of warm water and consume it, it is very beneficial for constipation.

Exercise and Stomach Massage

If you want your food to move through your body you need to move too. Constipation is becoming very common issue now a days because of our sluggish routine and lack of exercise. Try to take a short walk each day, a daily 15 minute walk can help your food move through your bowel more easily and quickly. Keep one thing in mind don’t walk or exercise immediately after a big meal. Give it some time and then move around instead of lying down.

Coming towards stomach massage, sometimes a gentle stomach massage helps relieve constipation in such a way that it softens and relaxes your stomach muscles and intestines. Lay down and massage your stomach gently and softly with olive oil or castor oil. Remember do not massage immediately after a meal or after you eat something. Massage at least one half or one and a half hour after you eat something. Massaging on an empty stomach results better.
