WhatsApp is much safer from now on!
WhatsApp eventually introduced the new security feature that it has been working on for a long time.
Prior to its users, WhatsApp has released a two-step verification system to further enhance users’ security. With this feature, it is getting harder for those who want to login to your account.
You can activate the feature by opening the WhatsApp application and following the steps in Settings / Account / Validate / Activate Two Steps. Later, you will be asked to enter a 6-digit code. You can use the feature after you specify the code you want.
When you change your phone or reinstall WhatsApp on your phone, WhatsApp asks you for this 6-digit password as well as SMS confirmation. If you forget the password, you can not use WhatsApp for 7 days. At the end of 7 days, you can delete all past correspondence and access the application with SMS approval.
WhatsApp also offers an email alternative to the risk of forgetting the password. When you want to use the two-step verification feature, the application asks you for an e-mail address. If you forget the password, you can verify it by e-mail. But if you do not specify your e-mail address, WhatsApp is not available for 7 days.
Do not worry about those who can not see “two-step verification” because they are distributed gradually to feature users. Because the feature will be delivered to all users in a short time.
